FTC logoTeam 1533 is a FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) team based in Greensboro, North Carolina. High school-aged students from the Early College at Guilford and surrounding schools work throughout the year in preparation for a six-week build season. In early January a challenge is released, and six weeks of fierce planning, designing, and building commence.

At the end of the six-week build season, we ship our (hopefully) completed robot to the regional competition site, and we don't see it again until competition time. The build season is long and hard, but we always manage to have a lot of fun!

Please explore our website and find more stuff out about Team 1533 and the other amazing, and quite strange, Triple Strange programs.

FTC logo Team 731 & Team 5795 are FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) teams of 9th - 12th grades students, ages 14-18 which explore robot building using sports-based robot games. The basic field of play, the hardware, and skills transfer from year to year. Besides being really fun, FTC provides a great learning envirnoment for robotics, mechanical technology, and engineering principles. Team 731 & Team 5795 also provide a great training ground for the big robots of FRC Team 1533. Join us for the fun! Click these links for news about FTC Team 731 or FTC Team 5795.

Junior FIRST Lego League

JrFLL logoAs part of the outreach of the Triple Strange teams, we meet almost weekly throughout the school year with younger elementary students, grades K-3. As mentors we help spread the fun and learning through Legos. What kid doesn't naturally love Legos, and with a little help and encouragement, you'd be surprised at how quickly the budding engineers reveal themselves! Would you like to play, too?? Join us!
